Dev Samaj college of Education organized a blood donation camp as a part of the ongoing NSS camp in collaboration with blood bank society, sector- 37. It was inaugurated by Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh,an IPS officer as the Chief Guest of the event. Mr. Singh was the first volunteer to donate the blood which boosted the morale of the people present there to come forward for the great cause.
People from the village and nearby areas participated in the cause with zeal and enthusiasm. The college students volunteered for this noble cause, around fifty donors donated blood. At the same time free eye checkup was done by doctors from General Government Medical Hospital, sector-32.
The SPCA, Chandigarh vaccinated around ten dogs from the village.
Mr. G. S. Bhatti, The Guest of Honour planted trees in Dronacharya Stadium on the occasion.
Dr. (Mrs.) Jyoti Khanna congratulated the NSS volunteers to make the programme a success.
The whole event was well conducted by volunteers of NSS unit with great zeal and enthusiasm and their efforts were remarkable.
