The Science Club of Dev Samaj College of Education under the guidance of Dr. Anuradha Agnihotri welcomed Shri Santosh Kumar, IFS conservator- Forests, on the occasion of International Year of Chemistry, 2012 sponsored by CREST, Chandigarh Administration. Various competitions—poster making, essay writing, paper reading and powerpoint presentation were held to highlight the role of Chemistry in daily life. Sh. Shantosh Kumar addressed the pupil teachers and emphasised on the importance of pure sciences and made them conscious of rightful career opportunities available in natural sciences and in the field of research. Prizes were distributed in all the categories. The programme concluded with a cultural performance.

NSS Units of the college organised a  colourful programme on the eve of Republic Day. Students expressed their views and patriotism through various speeches, poems and songs. Dr. (Mrs.) Jyoti Khanna in her address highlighted the essence of the celebration with the diverse languages, social norms, individual distinctiveness that make up India a wonderful multicultural country.
