The Science Club of Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36 B,Chandigarh organized an intersection Science Competitions in collaboration with Department of Science & Technology Chandigarh Administration. Dr. Vivek Khanna, Senior Scientific Officer, Department of Microbiology, Panjab University,Chandigarh consented to judge the competition. Dr. Jyoti Khanna, Principal of the college appreciated the efforts of the students as well as the organizers Ms. Ashu and Mr. Rohit Bhandari. The competition started with a round of slide show on Earth and Health Hazards- Minimising Risks and Maximising Awareness represented by participants from each section. It was followed by science quiz and declamation contest. The main objective of the event was to spread awareness regarding environment and science among the prospective teachers.
Asha R.C bagged 1st, Preeti 2nd and Dheepa 3rd position in declamation Contest. Vandana, Sushil and Sonia of Team B stood first in quiz contest.
Mr. Rakesh Gupta, from INSAT Techno services gave a demonstration of interactive board to make the prospective teachers aware of latest technologies used in teaching to make it more effective.
The function concluded with distribution of prizes to the winners.
