The first day of the seven days NSS Camp at Butrela village by the NSS volunteers of DEV SAMAJ COLLEGE OF EDUCATION SECTOR 36 B, CHANDIGARH. There was a lot of enthusiasm and vigour among the NSS volunteers to be a part of such a social cause and serve the people. The volunteers were divided into various  groups and asked to inform the people of the  village about the  various activities like stitching, crafts, mehndi, dance and music etc. Which will be conducted during the camp. A rally was conducted by the volunteers to emphasise the importance of education among the people of the village. A survey was also conducted by the volunteers wherein t hey  gathered information about their  needs.Some NSS volunteers were sent to mother teresa home- sector 23, Institute of  blind- sector 26 and institute of deaf and dumb sector-  19.The volunteers taught the  various skills like candle making, paper bag making, painting, computer education at these institutes.

While the others at the base camp taught the children of the village.
