
Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Jyoti Khanna, administered the pledge to the prospective teachers
Vigilance Awareness Week was observed from November 3 to 7, 2009 in Dev Samaj College of Education, 36 B, Chandigarh. The observance of the week started with vigilance pledge taking ceremony at Dev Samaj Campus. Principal, Dr. Jyoti Khanna, administered the pledge to the prospective teachers with the motive to generate vigilance awareness among pupil teachers to curb corruption. The chief guest, Dr. Jagdish Bains, Principal, Dev Samaj College of Education, Ferozepur stated that corruption not only indicates earning of illegal money but also includes all known deviations from the standards of integrity and impartial exercise. She emphasized that it is the moral duty of every person especially the teachers to strive to make society free from corruption. The other activities of the week long programme include Essay Competition on themes like “Self Vigilance to Eradicate Corruption in Public Life”, “Delay Breeds Corruption” and “ Information Technology is a tool to curb Corruption” and Quiz Competitions were also held to propagate Vigilance awareness where student teachers along with school children from various government schools will participate.
