Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36-B, Chandigarh, celebrated Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm with Children of Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity, Sector 23, Chandigarh. The Principal of the college, Dr. Jyoti Khanna along with the children hoisted the National Flag. Children presented different patriotic songs and inspirational speeches on the occasion.

In her address, Principal Dr. Jyoti Khanna said that Independence Day is celebrated in all educational institutions but the unique feature of this prestigious institute is that children from different sections of the society celebrated the day on the same platform irrespective of different social and economic backgrounds. She thanked the children for their contribution in making this programme a success. She appreciated the initiative taken by programme officers Dr. Anita Nangia and Dr. Seema Sareen.

In the end, children were presented token of appreciation as a gesture of thanks and were given sweets.
