A Meeting for Upcoming 4th International Student’s Peace Festival to be held in Chandigarh from 27th September to 1st October, was held at Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36 B, Chandigarh on 7th August 2009.
The objective of this Peace Festival is to promote peace, equality and living in harmony with nature. Around 500 students from different South- Asian countries and states of India are invited to participate. Peace Festival will provide a platform for increased cross fertilization of ideas through greater interaction among the students. Some of the things planned for this year’s initiative are:
- A Peace Parade
- Carnival Games
- Make and Take Crafts
- Multicultural Performances
- Peace Talks and Peace Stalls
- Magic Shows and Face Painting
- Film Shows and Music to Unite
- Nature Trails and Discussion of Environmental Issues
- Clowning and Fancy Dress Cat- Walk
- One Sky One World- Kite Flying
As part of the Peace Festival, the proposed activities to be undertaken by Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36 B are:
- Art Orientation week by Sh. Ramesh Sharma in the second week of September.
- Interactive Sessions with the visiting students.
- Students will host the visiting students.
